1 DAY A WEEK SOCCER PROGRAM

"Designed for the new soccer player who want to start their journey in this beautiful game on a weekly basis!"

Grassroots Youth Soccer is a program designed to introduce young players to the sport of soccer and develop their skills in a less intensive environment compared to Recreational Soccer. It is a program that focuses on building the foundation of the sport for players who are just starting to play soccer or have limited experience. The program is designed for players between the ages of 4 - 7 and is geared toward developing their technical and tactical skills.

Each week, one of the following topics will be the focus of instruction, building upon the previous week's lesson:

  1. Ball Control
  2. Dribbling & Passing
  3. 1v1 (Moves and Feints)
  4. Shooting


Program Details

Duration: Monthly program. New sessions begin on the first Saturday of each month.

Days: Saturday mornings

Structure: Group-style training environment led by Fremont Rush professional coaches

Location: Sylvester Harvey Park – North Fremont | 3850 Grand Lake Dr, Fremont, CA 94555

Ages: 4 – 7 years old

Gender: Boys & Girls

  • Ages 4 - 5: 9:00 am - 10:00 am
  • Ages 6 - 8: 10:15 am - 11:15 am

A new grassroots program commences on the first Saturday of every month and is offered in four-week cycles. Fremont Rush's professional coaches will train players in groups on Saturdays. The program's focus is on developing fundamental skills in soccer players. Please note that our schedule is subject to change based on program registration.

  • What should my child wear to the program?

    Players should wear appropriate soccer attire, such as cleats, shin guards, and a soccer jersey. They should also bring a water bottle and appropriate weather gear.

  • What should my child bring?
    1. Soccer cleats or athletic shoes with good traction for running and kicking.
    2. Shin guards to protect the lower leg from injury during contact.
    3. A properly inflated soccer ball (check with the coach or program for size and type).
    4. Comfortable clothing suitable for physical activity and appropriate for the weather, such as shorts and a t-shirt in warmer weather or pants and a jacket in cooler weather.
    5. Water bottle to stay hydrated during the session.
    6. It's always a good idea to check with the coach or program for specific guidelines or recommendations on what to bring.

    Yes, there are volunteer opportunities available in the Fremont Rush. These opportunities may include assisting with coaching, field marshall, parking lot safety, and field setup. The Fremont Rush organization is always looking for volunteers to help make our club successful.

WEATHER POLICY

Weather Policy for Fremont Rush Soccer:

The health and safety of our players are our top priority at Fremont Rush Soccer. We understand that inclement weather is a natural part of playing sports, and it is important for our players to learn how to handle and play in different weather conditions. However, we also recognize that some weather conditions can be dangerous or pose a risk to the well-being of our players.

In the event of severe weather or dangerous playing conditions, such as lightning or extreme heat, all training sessions and games will be postponed or canceled. The club will make every effort to communicate any changes or cancellations to players and parents as soon as possible through email and/or text messaging.

In the case of light rain, training sessions will proceed as scheduled. Players should come prepared with appropriate clothing and gear, such as a rain jacket and cleats suitable for wet conditions.

In the event of heavy rain, the decision to proceed with training sessions or games will be made on a case-by-case basis by the coaching staff and club directors. Factors that will be considered include the severity of the rain, the condition of the field, and the safety of the players. The club will communicate any changes or cancellations to players and parents in a timely manner.

In the case of extreme cold, the coaching staff and club directors will determine if training sessions or games should be postponed or canceled based on the safety of the players. Players should come prepared with appropriate clothing and gear to stay warm, such as multiple layers, hats, gloves, and warm-up pants.
