Stay Active this Winter: Score Goals, Make Friends, and Play the Fremont Rush Way!

âš˝ We're kicking it up a notch as every Winter Jam practice and game is now on our upgraded turf soccer fields! âš˝

Winter Jam  at Fremont Rush Soccer is where the soccer magic happens! Our training and games take place at Karl Nordvick Park on Mondays and Wednesdays & Sigman Field on Tuesdays and Thursdays, , all from 5 - 8 pm. Boys and girls aged 5 to 13 are invited to join the excitement. This program is not your average winter chill—it's a soccer thrill! We're diving deep into essential skills like dribbling, ball control, passing, shooting, defending, and goalkeeping. But that's not all; we're also enhancing agility, balance, and coordination through fun activities.

Winter Jam isn't just about practice; it's about putting those skills to the test. We've got small-sided games that focus on individual and small-group techniques and tactics. Plus, we understand that every player is unique, so we group them according to age and ability. That way, everyone gets the perfect challenge to elevate their game.

Whether you're a seasoned player or just starting, Winter Jam 1 and 2 are your tickets to a winter packed with soccer excitement. Join Fremont Rush Soccer and let's score some goals together!

What size soccer ball should I buy?

There are different sizes of soccer balls, so buying the right size is important. Soccer balls are sized based on age. The list below shows the different sizes.

Size 3: Suitable for ages 7 and under

Size 4: Suitable for ages 8-12

Size 5: Suitable for ages 12 and up

  • What should my child bring?
    1. Soccer cleats or athletic shoes with good traction for running and kicking.
    2. Shin guards to protect the lower leg from injury during contact.
    3. A properly inflated soccer ball (check with the coach or program for size and type).
    4. Comfortable clothing suitable for physical activity and appropriate for the weather, such as shorts and a t-shirt in warmer weather or pants and a jacket in cooler weather.
    5. Water bottle to stay hydrated during the session.
    6. It's always a good idea to check with the coach or program for specific guidelines or recommendations on what to bring.
  • Who coaches the program?

Fremont Rush Soccer offers an education program tailored to the club's philosophy, mission, and values, providing recreational coaches with the necessary tools for success. This includes grassroots coaching licenses and team training sessions led by the recreation director.

Our primary objective is to create a nurturing and enjoyable atmosphere for players, promoting their development while fostering a lasting love for soccer.

  • How long are your sessions?

The sessions typically last 1.25 hours and occur twice a week, complemented by 4 - 6 playdates scheduled throughout your recreational session. The program's duration ranges from 6 to 8 weeks.

  • Are they placed on teams?

In our recreational program, team placements are optional as all registered players will be assigned to teams based on roster availability.

Fremont Rush Weather Policy

The health and safety of our players are our top priority at Fremont Rush Soccer. We understand that inclement weather is a natural part of playing sports, and it is important for our players to learn how to handle and play in different weather conditions. However, we also recognize that some weather conditions can be dangerous or pose a risk to the well-being of our players.

In the event of severe weather or dangerous playing conditions, such as lightning or extreme heat, all training sessions and games will be postponed or canceled. The club will make every effort to communicate any changes or cancellations to players and parents as soon as possible through email and/or text messaging.

In the case of light rain, training sessions will proceed as scheduled. Players should come prepared with appropriate clothing and gear, such as a rain jacket and cleats suitable for wet conditions.

In the event of heavy rain, the decision to proceed with training sessions or games will be made on a case-by-case basis by the coaching staff and club directors. Factors that will be considered include the severity of the rain, the condition of the field, and the safety of the players. The club will communicate any changes or cancellations to players and parents in a timely manner.

In the case of extreme cold, the coaching staff and club directors will determine if training sessions or games should be postponed or canceled based on the safety of the players. Players should come prepared with appropriate clothing and gear to stay warm, such as multiple layers, hats, gloves, and warm-up pants.

Lastly, Fremont Rush Soccer operates under the weather guidelines established by the U.S. Soccer Federation. You may learn more by clicking here: http://www.recognizetorecover.org/environmental

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with our weather policy. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to our General Manager at zkerawala@rushsoccer.com
