The Winter Tryout Window opens on the first Monday of November and extends until the first weekend of February. During this time, our club is actively seeking players who are NOT currently registered with a competitive team in any NorCal Club league.
Time For Tryouts!
What Are Winter Tryouts?
Winter Tryouts are specifically tailored for current non-competitive players. The objective of these tryouts is to assess the skill level of each player and determine the best-suited programs for them.
Here at Fremont Rush, we conduct Winter Tryouts annually for our new non-competitive players. These tryouts are open to players born between 2016 and 2009, and we enthusiastically welcome all interested players to participate. During the tryouts, players will be assessed on various criteria, including technical abilities, tactical understanding, physical fitness, and attitude.
Players who meet the criteria will have the opportunity to be placed in an environment that can facilitate their skill improvement and enable them to reach their full potential as soccer players.
Please note Competitive Players currently registered in other NorCal Clubs are NOT permitted to attend a tryout at this time. The only time that this is permitted is during the Open Tryout Window (Mid May 2024.)
We invite all eligible players born between 2016 and 2009 to participate in our Winter Tryouts, offering a clear pathway for a seamless and rewarding soccer journey.

Players will be evaluated on technical, tactical, S.A.Q., and psychological factors demonstrated in their attitude, approach, and performance at tryouts. Our evaluators will assess these qualities through a variety of methods, most notably through observing small-sided games and behavior and habits during tryouts.
Each player will be observed for a vast majority of the tryout, and every player will be observed by three or more coaches during the tryout process. Our Fremont Rush coaches want the players to enjoy the tryout experience and to actively play for most of the minutes they are on the field. At times, our coaches will need to compare notes with one another, to discuss next steps in the tryout process.
